Ethically producing and sharing Cacao by rebuilding inclusive collaborations and ecosystems

Our methodology...

Inclusivity

We include a diversity of inputs and ideas within our development plans and operations. We believe that the representation of indigenous people and farmers is essential to our project.

Actions

In order to accomplish that work, we have to get our hands dirty. We take practical actions with our cacao producers and women collectives to create a real impact. Our team is involved on a daily base with all our local collaborators.

Heart

Everything we do has to come from the heart. We are producing ceremonial grade cacao and we understand that the intention behind every step is essential to the energy transmitted into the cacao.

Regenerative

We believe in the improvement of our work and the current ecological, social and economic situation of the local communities we work with. We work with a 100% circular econmy model to keep the heart at the driving position of our decisions.

What is your investment supporting?

With Cacao Source we value transparency. The project is 100% circular economy, which means, no members of Cacao Source is profiting from sharing ceremonial cacao. All members from the leadership team, indigenous/Guatemalan, ladino/Guatemalan and international contributors are earning an equally fair Guatemalan wage. All funds are reinvested into the growth of Cacao Source, its impact in rural Guatemala or into our NGO Give Back to the Source. Cacao Source was originally created to ensure that, as the ceremonial cacao movement is growing, the farmers and indigenous community isn't left behind. We are on a mission to bring prosperity back in Guatemalan lands. We offer bi-yearly transparent report with real numbers to support our claims with our open-book policy. We believe in empowerment of consumers to create a truly fair-trade cacao movement, where consumers have access to the answers of all their questions to make a conscious choice. Any questions?
